“The recognition confirms our commitment to deliver ‘Beauty without Compromise’ by capturing the essence of luxury brands using sustainable methods.”
All the competition entries were judged in the categories of print quality, functionality, finishing techniques and attributes. Sustainability category entries were also judged on the use of sustainable materials and processes.
“Diamond employed methods developed as part of its greenbox sustainability initiative in the design and production of the packaging,” Bacchetta continues. “The core of the initiative – designs, materials, and methods – represents a comprehensive approach to packaging that minimises environmental impact throughout the supply chain.”
Invercote G is the paperboard chosen for the packaging.
“That’s because of its smooth surface, which is tailored to faithfully reproduce the most sophisticated printed images and meet the high demands of flawless hot-foil stamping and embossing.”
Were there any special challenges with the box design?
“The design required extremely tight registration of the UV matt and gloss spot coating, cold foil, and multi-level embossed areas to the printing. The production layouts were optimised to best support the registration requirements.”
